As VeryRite reports in a recent article, the Chronic Dev Team’s supposedly-upcoming iPad 2 jailbreak won’t be its Greenpois0n RC7 update. It appears that Greenpois0n’s name, the team’s vehicle for releasing iOS jailbreaks, will instead be saved for a more substantial breakthrough.

“Just for the record, our iPad 2 jailbreak won’t be called greenpois0n,” wrote team member and noted hacker Joshua Hill on his Twitter feed, where he goes by the name, “p0sixninja.”

The article’s author also wonders why the CDT is posting as many jailbreak teasers as it is. “The very next question that comes is why Chronic Dev Team is posting too many teasers???” he asks. “We already know that posixninja is working on the iPad2 jailbreak. But why too many teasers now??”

Last week, Hill made news when he mentioned in a video conference with other jailbreakers that a jailbreak for Apple’s popular computer tablet could be released within the next few weeks. “We’re ALL going to hold him to that!!! I’m not going to get into extensive detail about this, but what I will say one of the missing puzzle pieces may have reared its head and cast a glance in our direction… take from that what you will,” wrote a DCT member who goes by the Internet alias “bile.”
