iPad 2 Jailbreak Coming This Month?

The iPad 2 hasn’t been jailbroken since its first week on shelves, and even then Apple fixed early bugs with the computer tablet and the unlock was never made publicly available. The jailbreak community has been eagerly anticipating a jailbreak for the device for the five months since, and now it’s looking like a release is coming soon.
“p0sixninja is working very hard on developing the jailbreaking tools for the iPad 2 and his new creation should become available in ‘about three weeks…’” writes Radu Tyrsina in a post last week for IT Pro Portal. “p0sixninja, the guy the Chronic Dev Team has put in charge of developing the iPad 2 jailbreak solution, has been working hard on this for quite a while.”
Apple’s latest iPad model caused trouble for jailbreakers with its sophisticated A5 processor, which makes the device much more secure and less prone to hackers. “This is why p0sixninja’s progress has been rather slow,” says Tyrsina. “This month, the Chronic Dev Team announced that they had found one of the missing puzzle pieces’ that would allow them to jailbreak the iPad 2. It seems indeed that the guys have discovered the Achiles’ heel of the security system of the iPad 2.”
The A5 processor is also expected to be included in Apple’s next-generation iPhone, so expect this all the begin again when that device is released this year.
