iPhone 5 To Be a Significant Redesign in August?
Now that the WWDC is done, it looks like all eyes have shifted over to the iPhone 5. Right now, the greater curiosity is what will it look like. Whether the redesign will be significant. Whether or not we’ll still recognize her when she’s out from under the knife, so to speak.
The latest rumors coming from Boy Genius Report seem to suggest it will be a major shift. Obviously nobody knows for sure but the concept pieces being done right now suggest a slimmer design overall. This speculation comes after news that apparently the cases for the iPhone 5 will be significantly different in some way.
What’s more interesting, however, is that they’re claiming that we can expect a notice of some kind from Apple in August, rather than in September.
BGR has independently confirmed that the next-generation iPhone will not merely be an upgraded iPhone 4 as had been previously rumored. We have been told by a reliable source to expect a radical new case design for the upcoming iPhone, though we have not been given any additional details surrounding the design of the new iPhone case.
It would be interesting, because for Apple it would represent a break from tradition. Normally they unpack everything all at once. But given that it’s the iPhone, they may decide it’s worth it to make an exception.
Still, earlier is never worse.
