Add Color to iOS Keyboard with New Tweak

22 October 2011 7,965 views No Comment

Ever wish you could add a little color to iOS’ standard keyboard? If so, then you should check out Color Keyboard, which makes it possible to change the color of buttons when you touch them, give the keyboard a personalized background and much more.

“Some prefer to utilize the freedom laid on by a jailbreak for practical and productive purposes. I’m talking about installing the likes of SBSettings, enhancing Mail, Safari, SMS, and Settings for the cause of making the iExperience a little simpler – tailoring it to our needs just a slight bit better,” writes Ben Reid for Redmond Pie. “Then again, there are those who like to alter the cosmetics of the GUI for the sake of keeping things fresh. If you find yourself often intrigued by the visuals, then a little Cydia tweak entitled Color Keyboard might just be of interest you.”

With a $1.99 price tag, Color Keyboard is on the pricier side of things as far as jailbreak tweaks go, but should be worth the money if you want to spice up iOS’ rather dull keyboard. Color Keyboard, which is now compatible with the recently-released iOS 5, is available for download through the Cydia jailbreak store.
